The following terms and conditions apply to this webshop.


Worldwide shipping

We ship printed books within Europe by mail. Outside Europe we ship books by airmail. This is the fastest way to deliver the goods to you. Please note that we cannot guarantee our delivery times as they are not under our control. Gift packages are not offered.


Secure payment with SSL

The green bar in your browser's address bar indicates a secure connection with 256-bit AES encryption. We use SSL certificate. The system encrypts your credit card and personal information to ensure that it cannot be read by anyone else when sent over the Internet.


Terms and conditions of purchase agreement

These General Terms and Conditions apply to every Purchase Contract between the Webshop and the Client.


Article 1. Definitions


General Terms and Conditions

The present General Terms and Conditions.


Article

All works of science, literature or art within the meaning of the Copyright Act 1912, which are offered by Redbox known through the Webshop, in particular books and e-books.


Withdrawal period

The period within which the Customer can exercise its right of withdrawal.


Webshop

The Environment in which Publications are offered to Customers.


Day

Calendar day.


Right of withdrawal 

The possibility for the Customer to waive the Purchase Agreement within the cooling-off period.


Customer

A user of the Webshop who proceeds to purchase an Article.


Purchase Agreement 

The agreement concluded between Redbox (via the Webshop) and a Customer due to the Customer's purchase of an Article.


Environment

This Webshop and any other application designated by Redbox.


Redbox

The private company with limited liability Redbox BV, having its registered office and principal place of business at (5144 MB) Elzenweg 37 in Waalwijk, which company actually operates the Webshop.

Article 3. Applicability


3.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to every offer of the concluded Purchase Agreement between the Webshop and the Client.


3.2 Before the Purchase Agreement is concluded, the text of these General Terms and Conditions shall be made available to the Customer electronically in such a way that it can be easily stored by the Customer on a durable data carrier. If this is not reasonably possible, before the Purchase Agreement is concluded, it will be indicated where the General Terms and Conditions can be inspected electronically and that, at the Customer's request, they will be sent electronically or otherwise free of charge. If this is not reasonably possible, before the Purchase Agreement is concluded, it will be indicated that the General Terms and Conditions can be inspected at the Entrepreneur's premises and that they will be sent free of charge as soon as possible at the Customer's request.


Article 4. The offer

4.1 If an offer has a limited period of validity or is made subject to conditions, this will be explicitly stated in the offer.

4.2 The offer contains a complete and accurate description of the Article offered. The description is sufficiently detailed to enable the Client to make a proper assessment of the offer. If the Webshop makes use of images, these will be a true representation of the Products on offer. Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer are not binding on the Webshop.

4.3 Every offer contains such information that it is clear to the Client what rights and obligations are attached to acceptance of the offer. This concerns in particular:

a. the price including taxes;

b. any costs of delivery (shall be stated separately);

c. the manner in which the Purchase Agreement will be concluded and what actions are required for that purpose;

d. whether or not the Right of Withdrawal is applicable;

e. the method of payment, delivery or performance of the Purchase Agreement;

f. the period for accepting the offer, or the period for maintaining the price;

g. if the agreement is archived after its conclusion, in what way it can be consulted by the Customer;

h. the manner in which the Customer can become aware of acts not wanted by him before the conclusion of the Sales contract, as well as the manner in which he can rectify these before the contract is concluded;

i. any languages other than English in which the agreement may be concluded;


Article 5. The Sales Agreement

5.1 Subject to the provisions of Clause 3, the Sales Contract is concluded when the Client accepts the offer and fulfills the conditions set out in the offer.

5.2 The Webshop promptly confirms receipt of the acceptance of the offer electronically. Until receipt of this acceptance has been confirmed, the Client may rescind the Purchase Agreement.

5.3 The Webshop can investigate - within legal limits - whether the Client can meet his payment obligations as well as all those facts and factors which are important for a responsible conclusion of the Sales Agreement. If the Webshop has good grounds on the basis of this investigation not to enter into the Sales Contract, it is entitled to refuse an order or application or to attach special conditions to the execution, giving reasons.

5.4 The Webshop shall send the following information with the Publication to the Client, in writing or in such a way that the Client can store it in an accessible manner on a long-term data carrier:

a. the visiting address of the establishment of the Webshop to which the Client can complain;

b. the conditions on which and the manner in which the Client may exercise the right of withdrawal or a clear statement regarding the exclusion of the right of withdrawal;

c. the details included in article 4 paragraph 3 of these General Terms and Conditions, unless the Webshop has already provided the Client with these details prior to the execution of the Purchase Agreement;


Article 6. Right of Withdrawal upon physical delivery of the Publications

6.1 When purchasing Publications that are not delivered electronically but physically, the Customer has the option of dissolving the Purchase Agreement without giving reasons for a period of 14 working days. This period commences on the day after receipt of the Publication by or on behalf of the Customer.

6.2 During this period, the Customer shall handle the Publication and its packaging with care. He shall only unpack or use the Publication to the extent necessary to assess whether he wishes to keep the Publication. If he exercises his Right of Revocation, he shall return the Publication with all delivered accessories and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging to the Webshop in accordance with the reasonable and clear instructions provided by the Entrepreneur.


Article 7. Costs in case of Revocation and exclusion of the right of withdrawal

7.1 If the Client exercises his right of withdrawal, he shall bear no more than the costs of return shipment.

7.2 If the Client has paid an amount, the Webshop shall refund this amount as soon as possible but no later than 30 days after the return or withdrawal. The return shipment must be made with a track and trace code and the refund will only be made after the actual receipt of the product in good condition.

7.3 The Customer does not have the right of withdrawal for The Publications:

a. which by their nature cannot be returned;

b. which are already stored by delivery by the Customer;

c. for individual newspapers and magazines;

d. for audio and video recordings and computer software of which the Customer has broken the seal.


Article 8. The price

8.1 During the period of validity stated in the offer, the prices of the Publications offered shall not be increased, except for price changes resulting from changes in VAT rates.

8.2 The prices mentioned in the offer of the Publications are inclusive of VAT.


Article 9. Conformity 

9.1 The Webshop guarantees that the Publications comply with the Purchase Agreement, the specifications listed in the offer, the reasonable requirements of soundness and/or usability and the statutory provisions and/or government regulations existing on the date of conclusion of the Purchase Agreement.


Article 10. Delivery and execution

10.1 The place of delivery is the (e-mail) address made known to the Webshop by the Client.

10.2 With due observance of that stated in article 4 of these General Terms and Conditions, accepted orders will be carried out by Redbox as soon as possible.


Article 11. Payment

11.1 Unless subsequently agreed, the amounts owed by the Client must be paid immediately prior to delivery of the Publication, into the bank account number specified by the Webshop.

11.2 The Client is obliged to immediately report inaccuracies in payment details provided or stated to the Webshop.

11.3 In the event of non-payment by the Client, the Webshop is entitled to charge the reasonable costs made known to the Client in advance, subject to statutory limitations.


Article 12. Final provisions

12.1 This Sales Agreement and the rights and obligations arising therefrom shall be governed exclusively by Dutch law.

12.2 The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna Sales Convention) dated April 11, 1980 is excluded.

12.3 All disputes arising in connection with this Purchase Agreement or further agreements resulting therefrom shall be brought before the competent court in Amsterdam.

12.4 In case of differences of interpretation between the Dutch text of this Purchase Agreement and its annexes on the one hand and any translation thereof on the other hand, the Dutch text shall prevail.
